NC FRESH CATCH LABOR DAY WEEKEND FESTIVAL BRINGS FRESH NC SEAFOOD, BEER AND MUSIC TO DURHAM
September 2nd, NC Fresh Catch will celebrate the last remaining days of summer with a seafood festival focusing on fresh fish from the coast
of North Carolina, a farmer?s market BBQ with lamb, beef and chicken, cooking demonstrations from local chefs, craft beer, family activities and live music at the All People?s Grill Outdoor Pavillion. The 3 day NC Fresh Catch Labor Day Weekend Festival is a part of the Hills to Holy Water Music Arts Tour which has stops throughout the state. NC Fresh Catch events benefit a variety of non-profits, while bringing sustainability and fresh local flavors to every venue.
Each day of the NC Fresh Catch Labor Day Weekend Festival will have it?s own unique flavor. On Saturday, August 31st, attendees will be welcomed to a Latin- Caribbean Seafood Salsa. Sunday, September 1st, the theme is a Soul Classic Jazz & Blues BBQ, and the festival will end with a Funk Rock Labor Day Fish Fry on Monday, September 2nd. Music and activities for each day will complement the theme.
The NC Fresh Catch Labor Day Weekend Festival includes performances from a variety of talented, local musicians. Saturday come dance to the Latin and Reggae stylings of the Kata Band and Orchestra Gar Del, Sunday legendary jazz musician Stanley Baird will perform with his band the Stanley Baird Group, bluesman Bobby Hinton will also take the stage for his much anticipated return. Labor Day, the schedule will include The Aaron Mills Project and The Dyewells, ending with a closing set by some of The All People?s Grill?s finest.
