PHOTOS: ANOTHER Sinkhole In Washington (This Isn?t It)

Want to know why D.C. commuters are cranky on Tuesday night?

DC Water spokeswoman Pamela Mooring told the Washington City Paper on Tuesday afternoon that the 15-foot-deep sinkhole at the intersection at 14th and F streets NW was caused when a piece of concrete broke through a sewer line.

?The concrete fell and broke our sewer line, and that compromised all the soil around it,? Mooring told the City Paper.

As of about 6:45 p.m., streets were still closed. And police did not seem optimistic that traffic would flow freely again soon.

A smaller sinkhole ? described by some eyewitnesses as ?tiny? ? closed a D.C. block in March.
